Im hoping someone who has been losing weight with IF (considerably a large amount) finds this question...
I keep plateauing with the regular meals spread out with a caloric deficit so Im wondering while im IFing if Im going to end up plateauing out again, or do the losses slow down?? thanks guys

i think i understand your question but i apoligize if i donnot answer correctly. you're wanting to know if you will hit a plateau with IF... i think plateaus happen with any diet/ with weightloss in general. ive hit several through my journey. not one,,,...several. all you gotta do is KNOW it will pass as long as you keep doing the right thing ... and there are two options with any plateau...
1.) switch things up (calories, carbs, low calorie high calorie)
2.) keep on keeping on and know it will pass.
I've done a few different diets and kept switching up ( kind of unintentiionally ) did low calorie through a program called FA, then did low carb then did SAD then did HCG now im sticking with low carb because honestly it works the best and i can eat more food without gaining ...
i sort of do an IF type thing where i dont really eat untill later in the afternoon / evening and eat super light through the day. it works for me ... i do better during the day in a fasted state anyways. sorry if i didnt anwser your question hopefully someone else on here with more IF experience can help;) xoxo you're oing great keep up the good work!!!!!!!0 -
I've been IFing 16/8 since the beginning of March. It's no magic pill, it just makes life a lot easier. The more weight you lose, the slower it comes off. I've dropped 40lbs since Feb. 29th. Just log your food here honestly and watch for trends when things slow down. You may have to drop the calories a little or change up your workouts.
The other poster was correct....keep plugging along. Weight doesn't come of in a linear fashion, you'll have good weeks and slow weeks. Short term plateaus (less than 2 weeks) aren't really plateaus.0 -
If your intake while doing IF is the same as you'd normally do with the meals spread throughout the day, you'll experience almost the same results.0
