SOOOOOOOOO, my current gym membership costs me $16 a month. I'm the kind of person that sometimes will go to the gym 3 times a week or won't go at all for a month.
I'm looking into LA Boxing because it's something i've always wanted to do BUT i'm realllllllly not liking the prices. I mean is it worth it?
I havn't gone to the 'free class' they offer because I don't want to go alone lol :blushing:
but if anyone could give me a run down on prices that would be nice.
I know they say you can burn 800-1000 calories in 1 class :noway:
If you are doing LA boxing, let me know how you liked it and it it worked for you!

I have thought about going but I need a real gym too, so its too much to pay for both.
I have to say though, just from reading your post, that it doesn't sound like a good idea for you. You aren't even motivated to go and do the trial class - so what is gonna motivate you to go later? You aren't motivated to go to your regular gym even though you pay for it, so obviously money won't be the factor.
If it doesn't sound like something that is fun and exciting enough to brave going by yourself, then I think you should look for something else.
(PS: those 'you can burn up to xx calories!" things are usually BS - they only work if you are in good enough shape to go full out the entire hour, and since most people aren't and will either need to slow down, or stop and take a breather, or whatever, the burns are usually lower. But this applies to ALL workouts so, whatever. Just remember - the workout you will do 3-4 times a week is better than the workout you will only do once, even if those other workouts burn less.)0 -
Me me me!!! I do AND I LOVE it! Been going for the last 2 years now. It's much more than what you're paying for your current gym but for me its worth it. I go 3-4x a week. The one I go to has the bare minimum in cardio machine, a decent amount of free weights & strength machines, boxing ring and bag cage (30-35 heavy bags) for the classes.
You put on gloves, you do a 10-15 min warmup, 30-35 mins boxing/kickboxing combos w/plyo drills thrown in between, and then 10-15 min abs & stretching. For me its also a great stress reliever.
As with any exercise, the amount of calories burned depends on many individual factors and of course the effort your actually putting forth. I lost 15 lbs during my first 6 month membership. They sometimes have specials on groupon or living social if you want keep an eye out for that. But you have nothing to lose by taking the free trial class.
Feel free to message me if you have any questions.0
