Do you wear perfume?

My husband and I went to the movies this weekend. A woman sat beside me and holy crap did she stink. We would have moved but the theatre was really full and the movie was about to start. Then her husband showed up and I swear he was wearing more perfume than she was!!! When you perfume wearers put the stuff on, do you ever consider that maybe where ever you are going, that other people might find you offensive? I would rather smell BO or cigarette smoke than to get a headache from really strong perfume.

Some people abuse perfumes and scented lotions. If I use it, I use something of decent quality, spray once the back of my neck and once on wrists and rub it in. When you spray 17 times and walk through it, yeah thats overkill. I hate being able to smell someone a mile away. Interestingly enough that you brought up smokers, smoking causes damage to your whole body including your sense of smell. They probably don't even know how strongly they smell. I find it horribly off putting to be at the gym breathing hard and smelling the woman next to me's perfume. Thats not the scent really its just so inappropriate.

The rule, when it comes to perfume or cologne, is that you should only wear so much that it can only be scented by a lover.

While that may be a bit hyperbolic, colognes and perfumes should not be smelled when you walk into a room. But leaning over a shoulder to spy the paper, or leaning in for a kiss, or when your valet is adjusting your necktie...that's when it should be experienced.

I probably would have mentioned something to the woman, or asked the theater staff to remove her for the comfort of the other patrons.

I wear a little scented oil sometimes, but it's light and I have gotten many compliments on it. I wear Egyptian Goddess. But not every day.

I do wear it and I do pay attention to how much I am putting on. But thats mainly because I have scent triggered migraines and I would hate to make anyone else uncomfortable because of my perfume.

This is why I actually prefer the perfume sticks over the spray. That way I can put a light touch at my wrists, behind my ears and at the insides of my knees... sooo yeah! Just enough that a lover would notice it, after all perfume is supposed to be an erotic thing. Not a "oops I forgot to bathe so I'm going to mask it" thing.

    " Do you wear perfume?"

Not since my wife quit letting me wear her dresses.
