Marathon Training week 11 - possible stress fracture=(

So very pitiful sad for myself right now.
Saturdays long run of 13 left me unable to put weight on my left foot. throbbing. Pain subsided. Wen tfor xray today. Dr. wants an mri to def know if it is a stress fracture or sever tendonitis. But in the meantime, i cant run. How do you train for a marathon if you cant run?
She said to cross train for the time being -- mri not for a week, then follow up the folling wednesday. 12 days til i know.

So frustrated. Was doing so well. i am crying:(:sad:

    Swim, really, go swimming, deep water running too, seriously, if you're only at 13 miles, if it's not a major injury, if you keep up the cardio hours to mimic running you'll be fine. If your Doc says no running the race after all tests come back, then listen, but you can still keep up your training. I've run 5 marathons, I run with a group and we always have someone injured so I have some experience here. Good luck, and hopefully nothing serious!
