Broke College Student - Introducing Myself

Greetings!
My name's Trenda--my friends all call me T--and I'm 22 years old. I live in the dying state of KS, and this will be my first year at a large University. I've also been married for 2 years now. I'm really geeky. I love books, video games, movies, etc., and most of the stuff I spend my time doing keeps me indoors. This has been detrimental to my health, as I reached 160 lbs. a couple months back, and I have all sorts of health problems that I shouldn't be suffering from this early in life. I'm not completely alone, however, as my husband is also trying his hardest to get into better shape. I try to work out every day--today and yesterday I didn't and I am very disappointed in myself--but I'm not very...organized about it. My hubby and I are just trying to get better informed on what our bodies need for optimal health, and trying to find things that won't completely kill our paychecks. Well, I think that's about all I have to say, and I hope to make new friends on here. Good luck to everyone!
PS: Surely this is common sense, but just in case, I'll state it here. If anyone has any tips, recipes, other resources, etc. to help my husband and I, I welcome all that you have! I tend to ask a lot of questions for clarification, but if you're okay with that, then I think we'll be all good

Hi T and welcome, most people on here are very helpful and supportive as well. I have not gotten any recipes from here but i have to think they are available.
Get some friends and they will help you along the journey.
Take care and good luck with MFP.
