my husband came home and told me he was "bad" today but he wasn't as bad as he usually is....instead of getting a triple whopper at Burger King, he got a whopper jr and onion rings.....
then he gets on the scale and he's lost 3 pounds since yesterday. :explode: :explode: :explode: :explode: :explode: :explode: :grumble: :grumble: :grumble: :grumble: :grumble:

It is like that with my husband too!!! It is unnerving at times!
Focus on your goals and weightloss and remember...anthropologically a guys body just lends itself to losing weight easier because of the muscle mass. Our bodies were designed to nurture...so we tend to hold onto fat just in case.0 -
That is such BS! My husband does the same thing! Last Thanksgiving he ate SO much food, then the next day he lost 7 lbs! WTH? It's so unfair!
We can do it though! We're women and we're powerful!:happy:0 -
Yeah my husband will eat and eat and eat. Still the same size. Ahhhhhh. I know how you feel. :explode:  :devil:0

why do they have to be so darn frustrating... my dh has been working out and eating EVERYTHING he could possible think of that's unhealthy and has lost 15lbs in a month:noway: . All he has to do is think diet and he drops off weight like nothing. :grumble:0

Don't worry, since it takes a deficit (or burn) of 3,500 calories per pound, the odds he actually burned off 13,500 calories in a day is unlikely, unless he's a fireman or something
Probably just water.0 -
My dh just gets fatter and fatter....
Is that better? :laugh:0 -
Now now ladies... no husband bashing here
If he "lost" 3 pounds its probably because he gained 3 pounds the day before from sodium or some other reason that crap happens.0 -

Well, I don't even have a husband but it makes me feel better. :laugh:0 -
Just wait, it'll stop soon and he'll be frustrated... It's easy for him now 'cause he's got plenty to lose. When I started this I could skip lunch and go potty and lose 5 pounds.
Now I'm down to about 14% bodyfat, and it takes an act of congress for me to lose a pound. It was easier to get from 30% to 20% than to get from 16% to 15%,,,
It won't last. He'll be pulling his hair out soon enough.0 -
 My husband does the same thing. However he is not consistant and just because he lost whatever today, he will most likely gain it tomarrow. When he does, I will try not to laugh too much.0

Mine has been the same way!
But since I've been consistent here on MFP, the tables have turned. :bigsmile:0 -

I know the name of that tune! Been there, done that. Got the T-shirt (XXL). But no more! I'm just 2/3 of the man I was and lovin' it!
For all you lovely young ladies whose husbands don't gain weight... if its any consolation to you, enjoy him now because that ability to eat and eat and not gain weight is not going to last! Take it from an old goat like me!0 -

Are you braggin' or complainin' (about no husband, that is)? If you're complainin', don't ...because the world is full of men looking for a woman with the strength, commitment, and determination like you have. And sooner or later one of them is going to find you...and you him! :flowerforyou:0
