Hi there everyone, I have just registered for this site and hopefully it will help me in my weight loss goals. To start off I have been heavy all of my life and have yo-yo'd back and forth for just as long. About 10 years ago I was able to lose 93 lbs but as life happened along with stress and family I gained it back much faster than it took me to lose. Four years ago I had my daughter and decided for her I needed to get back down in weight so I had lost 85 lbs and then life struck again and my husband and I split. How is that for timing. I was holding my own as to the weight it had only gone up 25 lbs but now I am really trying to lose the weight but I really need help. I have gone down 23lbs but I still would like to lose 54 lbs. I am open to any ideas/tips/motivation because I am stuck and I was feeling soo frustrated. After logging on to this site and seeing how people come here to help others I think it is a good way for me to get back on track. If you would like add me as a friend and we can go through our journeys together.

  • Just take it one day at a time. You know how to do this. Get active, eat enough (figure out your TDEE and don't cut more than 20-25% from that. That's a MAXIMUM, not a minimum, you can eat 15% less if you find yourself too hungry. Also, reach out when you're struggling. Accountability helps.

I encourage you to not get back on track, not the one(s)you've tried. I would love to see you get on the track that will change the way you look at food, encourage you to get active in some way you love(pick something you actually like to do)and even though not everything you read here will make sense, study it with an open mind and let us help you along the way. You will be helping us to don't forget:) Welcome and so glad you found MFP:) I am older, 59, have another 15 or so to lose. My goals and desires are the same as far as losing fat, hanging onto or building muscle, feeling and looking the best I can:)
