Nett Calories- is this the one that matters?

Sorry, no doubt this has been answered but curious whether I should aim to have my nett calories at my "goal" or at my "goal". Currently I'm set at about 1300-1400 goal, I tend to eat about that BUT after exercise everyday it knocks 300-500 off and puts my nett calories around 1000.
Should I be eating to aim for a net of 1300-1400? I just want to make sure I'm not eating too much or too little. I'm not starving myself, I eat!
Thanks guys and girls :)

You should be netting at minimum 1,200 calories per day. MFP is designed with your deficit built in to your intake, without exercise factored in. You should eat back a partial amount of your exercise calories. Also be advised that MFP estimates tend to be highballed, which is why most people here will recommend eating a portion back.

Always make sure you net a healthy amount of calories per day.

Edit: Yes, I know this thread is necro'd. Answering for the above poster.
