Motivating a Motivator

I can motivate a dog to do tricks as well as motivate family and friends to reach their goals, but I always seem to fall short when it comes to motivating myself. It's like a rollercoaster ride, I have my highs and my lows. During the day at work I have big plans about what I will do once I get off like exercise or take a nice walk but once it's time to go......my motivation goes too. Am I the only one? What am I missing? How do you stay motivated?

My hubby created one of my biggest motivators. We have a deal...for every 5lbs lost, I get a new pair of shoes. He did it because he knows how I go crazy in DSW.
The other thing that has helped me the most is a site/app called Fitocracy. I use it along with MyFitnessPal. It's like a FB for those who work out. You get points for everything you do, and random people give you props for what you are doing. I think it's helped to motivate me more than the shoes have.0 -
I have found that walking WITH someone is a good motivator. Without that other person to go with me, I have a hard time getting going.0
