Have I really gained this much weight back?

Hi everyone, I am 5 3' and two weeks ago was 111 lbs. I just came back from my honeymoon and am now 120! Have I really gained this much weight, is it possible to actually eat that many calories? I definitely ate whatever I want, and I didn't hold back, but still.

LMAO. you sound like me after I went on a cruise. I was 122 when we left and 128.5 when we got back. YIKES. It's probably mostly water weight, and when you get back to your normal diet/workouts I imagine that weight will come right back off.0

I have just returned from a very physical 3 weeks - backpacking down through Asia....I have also put on 10lbs (the food I must say was amazing!).
I seem to have taken some of that off already as it was water retention (drinking Singha beer instead of water didn't help) and am cracking back on with my healthy eating.
Don't beat yourself up about it - you will (hopefully!) only ever have one honeymoon. You enjoyed it and you are now going to get back on track!
Good luck - and congratulations on the wedding,
:-) xx0 -
Thanks guys, I've been to the gym so starting to feel better already. Hopefully when I weigh in next week I will have lost a couple of pounds of bloat. And you're right, you only have one honeymoon and I wouldn't change it in exchange for a skinny body if I could!0

I have a theory about this. When we go on a vacation, we're constantly eating out rather than eating our own homemade meals. Aside from restaurant food being higher in calories, it is also much higher in salt than anything I'd normally make myself. Perhaps the added salt has you retaining a lot of fluid. Drinking a lot of water and eating fiber could be the answer to dropping that fluid quickly.0

More then likely it is water weight. From friday afternoon until sunday evening I gained 16lbs. From Sunday evening to this morning, I was back down 8lbs. The next 8 will come back off that quickly. Just jump back on track and continue on. The scale can be your best friend or your worst enemy.0

Totally possible, unfortunately. I put on 9lbs on my 10 day holiday recently, oops!0

You were on your honeymoon, you deserved a break. You'll get back to where you were. I gained 7lbs in 12 days while on vacation due to beer, wine, ice cream, potato chips. Had fun, but wow, I have to be militant to get it off. Water helps.0
