This morning I did a 5K walk for diabetes. I wanted to share this site below with everyone. I think charity walks/runs are a great thing because you are helping a good cause, helping yourself get in shape, and it's fun to do it with so many people. I started taking my 16 month old daughter with me to these. I feel like I am setting a good example for her, teaching her about having an active lifestyle and about giving back to the community. I know she's young but I want this to be a part of her lifestyle. So to those of you who are like me and get bored easy with exercise or are just looking for something different I highly recommend trying a charity walk. There are also bicycling events like Tour de Cure. The site below is a good place to start and you can also google events in your area.
