My goodness, I usually don't spend a whole lot of time in the forums here, but I have to say I was shocked at some of the member responses. I'm all for tough love, and I have no problem dishing it out, but I kept seeing posts where someone was looking for a little motivation and instead got insulted. Keep in mind that there is a fine line between tough love and being a *kitten*. I'm sure if you read this you'll think of me a whiny whiteknight, but why the heck would you spend time in a motivational forum bringing people down? perhaps Shark week on the discovery channel is making us feel like beasts!

I hear ya!
I wonder how many people actually don't post because of it.
I wonder how many people get scared from taking that first step to a better life for fear of being ridiculed or criticised?
When people have a lot of weight to lose after years of being overweight and constantly on the sidelines, they're looking for help, knowledge and encouragement, especially when they aren't getting that from immediate sources in their life.
I know the internet is a bit free for all and some people are just going to say grow a pair, but seriously, if you have nothing constructive or helpful to say, then why the f**k are you even reading the posts, let alone replying to them?0 -
Or people who think they are being funny by replying with a "joke" which is just insulting.0
