I loved eating grilled herb crusted salmon...but only when I'm ordering it at my favorite restaurants. I've tried to duplicate the flavors at home but I haven't had much luck.

Does anyone have any great recipes they'd like to share?

Thanks in advance!

I like salt, pepper, rosemary, and lemon slices.

My go-to salmon recipe consists of lemon slices (or lemon pepper), garlic powder, soy sauce (ultra low sodium), brown sugar, and maybe a dash of salt. I usually use equal amounts of soy sauce and brown sugar (1 tbsp or less for each 4oz). Put all those into a bowl then add tbsp and a half of water and 1 tbsp of grapeseed oil (for each 4oz again), mix until sugar is dissolved. Marinate your salmon and let sit in the fridge for an hour or two. If I'm pan frying I use a little bit of the marinade to cook with.

What about cooking with a bit of olive oil? I almost bought salmon but didn't because I'm not used to eating it. I got something else instead and am going to give fish a try for health reasons. I have issues with it that are not rational so I'm willing to try it.

I'm looking for something simple for any kind of fish. If it turns out I don't like it I will throw it outside for the cats. lol.

I use a low calorie/low sodium Asian kind of salad dressing before I cook it in the oven. A little goes a long way. I also spread some fresh ginger on it, which is virtually calorie free and good for you!
