Whatever it is that I'm craving. Could be brownies, or Twix, or a KitKat...

Dark chocolate. Good dark chocolate, the darker the better. I usually break off about 3 squares and eat them slowly, let them melt in my mouth so they last longer. Delicious!

I think anything in moderation is the key, feel like a brownie. Just have a small one for example

    Same here.
Though if the craving happens in the evening, since I don't keep such things in the home, I will turn to fruit or quark with truvia and peanut flour mixed together.

Any chocolate covered Atkins food bar, Souplantation's Chocolate Mousse, strawberries dipped in cream cheese sweetened w/Splenda, any Diet soda/powdered drink, Breyer's smart carb almond ice cream chocolate bar, 13 pieces of Dibs ice cream -- my secret stash of sweet cheats. Helps keep me from over-binging when my cravings sneak up on me....
  • go into the pantry and mix up some peanut butter with a little bit of powdered sugar and some vanilla... just a tiny little bowl of it, enough to satisfy the craving!

My new favorite sweet tooth fix is White Chocolate Wonderful peanut butter. I slice up a granny smith apple and dip it in the peanut butter... soooo good.

Now I have to have some as soon as I finish my dinner. :)

  • Hi, I was very glad to find this topic! I'm new here and just started my most recent try at losing weight. My weakness is my sweet tooth... and fruit just doesn't match it you know? But I'm afraid I behave almost like an addicted about chocolate, I've stopped buying all chocolate goods because I eat all of it in one go. I've tried to buy just a small one... but all it gives me is the taste for more.
The problem is I'm not sure how long I can keep at no sweets at all.. how can I satisfy my cravings without tempeting myself to a major diet breach? I don't eat chocolate everyday but sometimes(mostly after meals or late afternoon) I crave chocolate/sweets really bad.

What can I do? Does anyone has a recipe? A tip? Magic non-fattening chocolate?

    Thanks :)

You kill the yeast that is craving it. That's what you really should be doing. If you are craving sugar after realizing that added sugar is what caused your belly to expand, then you have a serious yeast overgrowth issue.

    Drink Kefir.
Eat yogurt that has less than 10g of sugar.
    Take a probiotic.
And STOP drinking anything with added sugar

I used to be a HUGE sugar craver, but you have to put the logic of what it does to your body before your emotional needs/soothing. If you can't separate your feelings from your feedings, then you are never going to lose the weight you want to.

Sugar free jello w/fat free cool whip - and sorry to break the fruit rule but I like to add a chopped up banana (love the taste and it is more filling).
