I recently (within the last 3 months) started experiencing heat rash (i think) during cardio workouts. At first I contributed to the heat outside, but it has also been occuring indoors. My body becomes covered with red bumps post workout only and remain for about an hour before they finally clear. I really don't know why the sudden change and was wondering if anyone else experiences this same phenomenon?

I get them too. I suspect it's one of two things: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cholinergic_urticaria or http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Exercise_urticaria. Since I get them in the summer and in the winter, but not every time I work out, I'm stumped about which of the two options it could be. I lean towards the first because I have a history of allergies and sensitive skin.
Antihistamines help sometimes, but like yours, mine usually go away within an hour. I think, though, if you experience any sort of shortness of breath you should see a doctor. It could be a more serious allergic reaction that could lead to anaphylaxis.0
