Which one do you think provides a better calorie burn? From experience I tend to get REALLY sore after a good sprints session. My hamstrings are sore the next couple days and I also feel it in my abs. I admit I'm not much of a runner but I tend to not sweat as much on a run, I benefit more from Higher incline with a moderate pace similar to hiking.

I mean from the olympics looking at the athletes I would choose a sprinters body over a marathon runners body. To me the marathon runners look malnourished while the sprinters look built from head to toe.

Do you think sprinting provides more muscle growth over a constant run?

Bear in mind that the sprinters weight train, because they need more powerful muscles all over their bodies to burst into sprints. And I'm totally with you there, was thinking the same thing while I watched this year!

Sprinting is said to have a higher/longer post-workout burn, and to reduce risk of repetitive stress injuries.
