What are your macros set to? I find 40/40/20 gives me the best endurance, even with P90x and training for a half marathon.
Also, how many calories are you eating? If you are under your BMR, it is no wonder you are tired when working out.0 -
Great question!0

I have the same problem! It sucks, but have found for me at least that if i lay off carbs before a workout and eat high protein i have more energy. I also eat protein post workout as well. I try to consume as little sugar as possible because it drags me down bad and is just awful for you. I typically workout in the late afternoon so If i'm going to eat carbs I try to eat them in the am, then eat protein pre workout and a mixture of protein and carbs after. Don't know if that's the correct thing to do but it helps me? Hope it helps you too0

Macros are basic nutrients your body needs to function, which are carbohydrates, protein and fat. They are set to a default here, but can be edited in your settings to suit your needs.
It is important to know that food is fuel for your body. While eating a certain number of calories is important, the macros are also important because it will ultimately determine your body composition.
If you don't know what your magic calorie number is, search the boards for some posts about finding out the difference between your BMR and TDEE.
Here is a good one to start with: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/654536-in-place-of-a-road-map-2-0-revised-7-2-12
You should always net above your BMR (base metabolic rate), which is what your body needs to function if you were to do nothing but lay in bed. Again, net means calories consumed minus calories expended during exercise.
Figure out what you need, and go from there.0 -
