Not so new...

Hello everyone,
Im Stephanie and its weird to think Ive been on this journey since October 2011. I have been relatively heavy my whole life, but when I stepped on the scale at 240lbs I nearly died. I decided right then and there I was done. I counted my calories and lost 40lbs. I then plateaued from March to June. With the help of my doctor I lost 5lbs doing cardio 6 times a week for an hour. Since then I have got a new job and started school back up. Really hard to maintain my cardio. So I found a product called Body By Vi, shakes for meal replacement (here we go with the skeptics). I dont recommend this for people starting off, I believe pills and other scams arent worth it. But it was either give this a shot or start taking weight loss pills from my doctor. Its just helpful to maintain my carbs and sugar (Im a carb monster). ANYWAYS. Im down 43lbs as of right now and I still have about 37 to go! I really need some friends that are willing to provide support and vice versa! Feel free to add me! :)

    I have 79 pounds to lose and your story is an inspiration to me. I would love to know what being past that halfway mark feels like! Something clicked in the doctor's office for me, too. Cholesterol 220, up from the year before. It's time to live a healthier life! Add me if you'd like! :smile:
  • Its the best feeling in the world looking back at old pictures and knowing you look so much better AND healthier! But at the same time its motivation to keep going and do even better.

    I have been logging calories for about 3 months now. in the beginning it was great! i lost 10 lbs in the first 5 weeks! hooray!!!!
    But that was the end. not a single lb or inch since!!! If this is my plateau it's been going on forever!!! and i've got so far to go!
    i lowered my calorie intake, especially carbs to the lowest safely allowed, and upped my cardio by 10 minutes a day, but still nothing.
