Workout buddies needed!

So, I am on a time crunch and I am trying to lose as much as weight (healthily of course) in the next 6 weeks! I am visiting family and want to feel good! I really need some good workout buddies (online) to keep tabs on each other and to encourage! (Via texting, emailing)

I am about 30 pounds over my normal weight and 5'6. I doubt I will lose the 30 in that time but I would like to lose as much as I can through eating right and exercising.

What are some things that work good for you? Is there a certain ritual that you do? I could use all the tips I can get. I also heard that taking certain herbs can speed up your metabolism? I would love your opinions!
