vitamins and cleanses? do they work?

im 18 years old and starting college in a couple of weeks... ive been looking online trying to read up on vitamins and such that could help in weightloss, im eating better portions, drinking water, and exercising... ive read that vitamin b12 is great because it helps with metabolism, and that raspberry ketones, and pure green coffee beans... has anyone tried these? i also read about cleanses and such... but i dont know what is just a "FAD" and what really works and helps... does anyone take anything or know of anything that can help? like i said im TRYING to lose weight but more importantly be HEALTHY... Any suggestions would be fine, you can also friend me if youd like. :) THANKS
