Blood Pressure After 40lbs...Wow.

I wanted to share this, because, like me, it's probably true that many folks on MFP have begun their weight loss journey conscious of some health issues, and blood pressure is a major one!
When I started my own battle, I weighed 267 lbs. When I started MFP I was at 238, and I checked my blood pressure regularly because it had been startlingly high for a long time, and it was worrying me a lot, as I was having chest pains, shortness of breath, light-headedness, etc. And I'm only 31. On average, my blood pressure was 170/125. (Normal is 120/80)
About a week ago I hit my first big target of 200 lbs.
For the past month, close to this goal, I have started seeing numbers almost exclusively like today: 122 / 88.
I simply cannot believe how much difference 38 pounds made.
Hopefully reading this will give some folks making adjustments for reasons like this some faith that every pound is benefiting you!

That's SO awesome! My blood pressure going up was a reason I started taking this seriously. I bought a blood pressure cuff and it's been regularly lower. It's still pre-hypertension at times, or on the higher end of normal, BUT I feel like I'm doing better!0
