Metabolism Boosters? Any suggestions?

I need some advice for helping my metabolism . Here is my back ground: I am 24, 5'2 and weigh 164. ugh ( I know I am a little chubby). I have Crohn's disease, which affects my stomach and entire, digestive track. I have high inflammation in my lower colon. So my doctor said no high fiber stuff, nor can I eat a most of the vegetables and wheat. And on top of that I am a very picky eater . So does anyone half any other suggestions for me?

Oh I forgot to mention. I do Zumba 3 days a week for 1 a hour.

    Lean proteins are good. Also make sure you are drinking plenty of water- nothing keeps your body humming like being hydrated. And exercise- at least 30 min most days of the week, with cardio and strength training. Being active and building muscle helps get your blood flowing and raises your metabolism.

    Outside of that, I would suggest going to a registered dietitian to see about a menu that works with your condition. They're professionals that are trained to deal with medical issues.

    No matter what malady you have, it's still a matter of calories in vs. calories out. Make a list of what you're able/willing to eat and make yourself a meal plan that gives you enough protein and totals up to a modest calorie deficit. It's not rocket science. Exercise will increase your metabolism more than any pill or food.
