Newbie Advice / Any start at around 210lbs?

Hi guys,

I appreciate all the info I need is around the website but I spent 2+ hours last night trying to figure out where's best to start!

I'm currently 217 and want to get to 161.

I'm exercising 5 days a week, combination of fat burning sessions on treadmill, classes and some weight training.

I would really just like a general idea of where to start, I'm pretty sedentary rest of day so have put that in my calculation but there seems to be so many options like BMR and TDEE etc and I've tried to understand, I really have!

Yesterday I set myself at 1200 and then used my 200 exercise cals too, but went over by 120 (I forgot about something I ate!) so net cals was 1320, is this too little?

I'm happy to reduce to whatever to get some of this shifted :)

Any general advice appreciated, I will have time to read more at the weekend but don't wanna mess the first week up.
