it will do nothing to boost weight loss. and there is no such thing as a best type as they are all equally useless.0

Im VERY curious. How are they ALL useless? I use the Dr Natura all-natural cleanse and its worked wonders for my body. Do explain your reasoning....based on fact and not opinion please. Thanks

What kind of good benefits have you seen from Dr Natura all-natural cleanse?0

Its a complete natural cleansing of the entire intestinal tracts in a natural and healthy way. It removes a lot of unhealthy toxins and replaces the body with the right nutrients. It also stimulates regularity in a timed manner. Meaning you can drink the special tea at night and be ready to hit the toilet in the morning before starting your day. Most others are unpredictable and have you glued to the toilet. And it is a GREAT source of fiber. This particular fiber is soluble, which means it literally clings to the fatty acids and waste and help move it through your system and out.
Google it and read up on it and how it stacks against the other cleansers.0 -
I honestly think fasting cleanses aren't a good idea but I do see benefit of using fiber supplement and digestive enzyme. Couple that with copious amounts of water daily and that is your cleanse right there! I always add something to my water to balance the PH as well (cucumber, lemon/lime etc). Most OTC cleanses are gimmicky.0

There are no unhealthy toxins sitting in your body that require you to ingest some product to get rid of them. Your body has a cleansing system called the liver and kidneys and whatever isn't digested is moved out of your body, normally within 36-72 hours. Some people find that adding fiber to their diet (especially if they follow a low carb diet) will help their digestion but the same thing can be achieved with fruits and vegetables and make sure you are drinking plenty of water. If you are constipated, drinking a little lemon juice and water can assist as does exercise.0

You really should just let your body do what it does naturally. You body eliminates toxins through sweat and waste. Accelerating the process really isn't beneficial.0

BluePrint Cleanse is one of the cleanses that you read a lot about. Their fresh juices are available at a lot of WholeFoods. Check out their website!0

There are a lot of benefits to fasting. I think that in this country we associate them with a cleanse. Before you do a fast, you should look into it. Fasting isn't a weight loss approach, and shouldn't be considered as such.

Cleanses aren't good for you. Most cleanse diets don't give you enough calories per day. So you'll likely go into starvation mode and start losing muscle, not fat. And since muscle is key to burning fat, cleanse diets are bad.0

"cleanses" that tend to 'move things through' actually clean your system of important vitamins and minerals such as potassium, sodium, magnesium, it offsets your acid/base balance, electrolytes etc.
yep, we've evolved to detox naturally. eat your greens and you're clean.0 -

Watching Penn & Teller's Bullsh*t episode on cleansing cured any thoughts I ever had about it. Waste of time and money. Season 5, episode 4.0

There is a lot of controversy over whether or not cleanses work, or have benefits, or whether they are in fact bad for you. My feeling is that people talk about taxing their kidneys and livers with poor eating and drinking... so doing something beneficial to give those organs a break seems like good sense to me. The cleanses to watch out for are the celebrity-hollywood-crazy-esque ones. The Grapefruit diet, the master cleanse where you drink nothing buy vinegar water.... these are poor choices. They are just an inch away from starving yourself, which will not provide lasting weight loss, and might actually make you sick. A 3-day juice cleanse, where you are still consuming nutrient dense foods (and lots of them!) sounds great! I'm trying to follow Ani Phyo's 15 day Fat Blast Diet. It begins with 3 days of sweet (fruit based) smoothies and savoury (vegetable based, like soup) smoothies. Then on the fourth day foods are reintroduced. I know that I'm not starving, and even if it is low calorie, it's only for 3 days. I have a great book on juice cleanses, but it's a bit old. I'm sure there are new great ones out there! There are also a lot of cleanses available at health and vitamin stores, which include restricted diets... but again, it's only for 3 - 5 - 7 days. So long as you're not always 'cleansing' or 'fasting', it's fine. As with all diets and life changes, just do it with a bit of sense and remember everything in moderation.0

Your body cleanses itself. Cleanses are at best a waste of money, at worst harmful.0

To each his/her own. I know what works for me and that's what Im concerned about.
