Furniture for BIG people

I'm looking for thoughts from other bigger people on what kind of living room furniture you have. 2 years ago we purchased a new, fairly inexpensive couch and armchair. My husband, who is 400+ is the main person to use the chair. Today it is basically unusable because it's sagged and warped. We would like to get new furniture that will last a bit better and hold up under the weight, but we don't have oodles of money to spend. I like the IKEA Ektorp sofa - any recommendations on that? Or any other thoughts on getting lasting furniture? At least just until we get the pounds off for good. :)
