Weight loss and change of clothing size

So I'm looking to lose 25 pounds over the next 9 months. But as we move into fall I've realized I am going to need new jeans. This being said, I am hesitant to buy jeans if I intend on losing so much weight. So my question is from your experience how much weight loss did it take to go down in pant/shirt sizes. Thanks for your input!

I guess you will see different answers from different posters. For me when I lost the 10 pounds last year, I didn't lose any size. My pants weren't even any looser. I am pear shaped and started at a weight already in healthy range for my frame. But other people who lost less than me already see drastic changes in their clothing.0

I noticed a change the closer I get to 20 lbs loss, but I have lost a lot of inches also, it really depends on the person, so the answers will vary...I can still wear all my old clothes its just they are getting looser.0

I would also check out a local consignment store that way if you do loose quickly you didn't spend alot on new jeans0
