I totally understand this, and understand that you can not spot burn fat, but I would like to know if anyone has any tips on what to AVOID in the kitchen that contributes more to stomache flab. I am at the lowest weight i need to be at, and refuse to lose anymore weight but my stomach is NOT flat. I am not looking for a diet to lose weight as a whole, so any tips would be amazzziinnggg

You're still not lean enough to see your abs, so you're going to have to burn off the fat the covers them. Which means losing more weight.
Dont focus on your weight. How lean you are determines whether or not your abs are visible. That means you need to be at certain body fat percentage, usually this is around 15% for women.
When you set this kind of a goal, you must train yourself to stop looking at the scale. It will not tell you what your body composition is or how lean you are. Start monitoring your BF% with calipers and design a diet that helps you reach your goal.
And that is how it is done.0 -
Makes sense. Thanks!0

You don't necessarily need to lose more weight. You can focus on lifting heavy weights to help you burn away excess fat while maintaining the same weight you are. I've stayed in the same 5 lb range for months now but my body fat has steadily decreased because I'm lifting heavy and body recomping (gone from a size 10 to a sz 6/small 8). I don't think you need to get to 15% to see abs - women see them around 18%-20% - some women, genetically gifted, might see them around 21-22% (depends on how much we're talking about seeing here). So definitely focus on bodyfat %. You can eat anything you want to get there - but a lot of people will say lower to moderate carbs is a better plan of attack (due to the excess water retention/bloat that comes with carbs). However, I've seen plenty of people obtain their beautiful abs while eating a diet of 40% carbs.0
