Low fat cuts of meat and homemade marinade. For red meat, I find that a little soy sauce and garlic powder is enough. Alternatively, low-fat hot dogs.

I like to cut up chicken breasts, marinate them in a mix of ketchup, soy sauce, olive oil (just a touch), paprika, and garlic powder, skewer them, and grill them. Alternately, you can marinate whole chicken breasts in lemon juice, olive oil, and oregano, then grill them and serve on good-quality rolls (ciabatta is nice choice) spread with hummus and topped with grilled red pepper and red onions. Yum!

Also, make sure to grill plenty of vegetables. A good dessert might be grilled peaches.

As for drinks, beer actually isn't too bad. A typical bottle of beer has 125-150 calories. Light versus dark doesn't matter for calorie count.

For drinks try captain morgans rum with tropicana 50% less sugar oj or diet v8 splash fruit punch. If you like wine take 1/2 glass of a decent red and fill the rest of the glass with Ocean Spray diet blue berry pomegranate juice(5 or 10 cal) and add a few fresh berries-taste like sangria without the calories.
