Weight loss and SSRI's

Well... I'm at a simple state of frustration. I take Welbutrin (was taking prozac) to help with anxiety, mild anxiety but it helps. I started taking it last summer, and quickly gained almost 30 pounds. I have since (6 weeks ago) switched to a non-ssri in Welbutrin in hopes that this would help my weight loss efforts. I work out fairly hard 6 days a week, I average at least 3 miles running @ 6mph 6 days a week, I also am pretty active during the day, and I am always below my calorie ceiling during the day.
I'm usually hovering at a 500 calorie deficit, so that puts me at around 3500 calories a week that I am shaving off.
I started off at 223 pounds, and in 6 weeks of running, watching what I eat, cutting out all sweets and pretty much all junk food, I've dropped only 5 pounds at 218, and I am stuck there. I've been at 218 for over 2 weeks now.
I know it takes time for the SSRI's to leave the system, so it may take quite a while for my body to rebound and start letting me lose weight.
I put this under motivation and support as I am quite frustrated, at a bit of a loss, etc etc. I'm not giving up, I love my Asics, and I love running, so that isn't the issue.
Thanks

You have brought up some very good points. I am not sure if you are eating enough to fuel what you are doing Thus locking your body into a starvation mode. I have only found an apetite supresant in Zoloft and when I was only 128 lbs. Now at over 200 and on Celexa I am having the same issue. I know of others that seem that they have to work out twice as hard just to burn an ounce while others on same medications can drop no problem. Maybee try increasing water to help flush the old druggs out of the system. I just had drugs changed to a lower dose and was supprised that it took over a month to level out at the new levels.0
