Adjusting to portion sizes?

Hi everyone!
I've recently started getting serious about losing weight and learning to eat right.

I always knew that I ate too much (hence the weight) but I had no idea how many servings I had been eating! Now that I'm starting to eat the 1 serving when it comes to snacks, measuring my cereal in the morning, pre-made meals, etc. and I feel like it's such a small amount.

I'm not complaining and I'm going to stick with it....but I'm wondering: If you had this same issue when you changed your eating habits: How long did it take for the smaller portions to feel normal?

Stupid question...but you get used to it right? :)

your stomach will shrink eventually and you'll get full on much less. drink more water, eat more veg!
  • To me thats the hardest part of dieting, like cereal for example most serving are like 1/2 to 3/4 at like 150 cal each serving, so today i measured how much cereal i has after i poured in the bowl, man was i overeating, my bowl serving was almost 3 servings! But i do find that it gets easier
