Burning Calories

Just a quick question coz I feel a bit confused by this - How is it that I did a 15 minute "session" on my Kinect's Fitness Evolved cardio programme, I burnt 31 calories (The programme tells me after the session is finished, so I've created the exercise in my exercise bit), but when I do 20-25 mins on the 30 day shred (and log it as circuit training on here), it burns about 200 calories - surely the cardio is more active?

I really don't have a solid answer. But I can say that if a program factors in your height, weight, age, male or female and fitness level along with the exercise you do, your calorie count will be more accurate. If the program doesn't factor in those variables it will base the calories burned on a typical height/weight fit body type and the count will be lower.
That's all I know for sure. My sister in law is 5 inches taller than I am. She weighs a bit more, when we walk on the treadmill, if we have the same settings, she will burn almost double the calories in the same workout because she has more weight to lose, more resistance in her own size and she will sweat and I won't unless I wear layers of shirts and long, sweat pants.
My sister, who is 10 pounds heavier than I am, will burn more but not much, because she's only 10 lbs heavier. I know the more you have to lose the faster you can lose it until you near your ideal body weight.
This probably doesn't answer your question, sorry.0
