I want to go to someone who cal do a report on me, like measurements, tests, etc to see the best way that would be best for me to loose weight and give me a healthy eating plan and exercise plan to work to a 4 month goal of loosing 40 lbs... or as closer to.... A high margin, but I do want to do it healthy :)

I watched the Hairy Dieter which is currently showing on BBC iPlayer and am intrigued on all the tests and stuff that they did...

Who would I go and see, a nutritionist, a doctor....?!

I live in Bahrain and I'm not sure if they have anyone like that here..... But will try based on info I get from y'all.

Thanks!

I love the fact you're from Bahrain and said y'all. 10lbs a month is a tall order. You don't need to see anyone, just use the resources here to find your maintenance calories and eat 1250 calories per day less than that....and eat back your exercise calories. 2.5lbs. per week will be difficult to do....you may want to temper your goals. In any case, when you cut severely you want to make sure you're getting plenty of protein and the rest of your calories from nutritious foods.

    I see your point...
I am actually British, but have lived here all my life :)
My calories intake on here for 2lb/week weight loss is 1460, so I'll stick to that - I've been sticking to it quite well for a while now and have lost a pound, not much, but I need to up the anti on the exercise!
Spinning classes start back at the beginning of Sept, so I'll be fine then.
I wanted piece of mind by speaking to a specialist and was just wondering who I'd go and see...

whatever 'plan' you get will follow the premise of eating less and exercising more... so you dont need to pay someone to tell you that... just use MFP!

I agree with the other post 40lb in 4 months is a LOT, you might want to re-think and have a more realistic goal, 1lb per week is a good rate of weightloss.

If you have a GP, start there and maybe they can refer you to a Dietician, if that's what you really want. But I agree with the others, use the resources here. Good luck!

See if there are any sports medicine facilities around. They can do that type of testing.
