Confused....

Good morning, all!

I'm super confused this morning, and am looking for a bit of direction from the veterans on this site. I started back running (well, jogging) three weeks ago, and I have been every Monday-Friday. I started at 1.2 miles and have bumped up to 2.02 miles in that time (I'm running a 10k in October so I'm trying to up my mileage). A couple of those days I decided a morning and afternoon run was in need. Needless to say, the scale isn't showing any changes in the direction I want it to go. I have officially GAINED two pounds in the past three weeks :( I'm eating my 1200 calories per day and if I am still hungry, I will eat back my exercise calories. I don't ever have that 'hunger' feeling though?

What is going on? Do I need to mix things up? No more running? Cross train?

Frustrated and any help is greatly appreciated.
