Good morning!!!!
I am just wondering can you be drinking to much water? I drink about 12 to 16 cups of water every day, I know you are to drink 8 a day, so would drinking 12 to 16 a day slow your weight loss down?

I try to drink 64 ozs of water daily....I don't "think" (not professional advice, just opinion) that more water would hurt UNLESS you are drinking water to feel full and not eating substantial and needed calories.0

no, there really isn't such a thing as too much water *unless* it's consumed all at one time. In intervals, drink as much water as you'd like. Especially with a high salt diet.0

The extra water is actually helping you to lose weight. Yes, it is possible to drink too much. It is called water intoxification. But, no way can the average person do that.0

It is possible for drinking too much water to be dangerous but the levels are very high. google or wiki hyponatremia for some detail.
The kidneys can easily process 1 litre of water per hour so your level is well below that.
I'm not a physician and can only go by what I have seen of others on MFP but the level you are drinking is in line with others, particularly if you are exercising or living somewhere hot.
Your body and it's muscles need water and I have read that people who are exercising hard, particularly with weights, will retain water as part of the recovery process. If that is the case for you, you may feel it is slowing your weight loss although that is obviously not the case and that is why many, myself included, take measurements of changes to your body that will hopefully show you that whilst your weight loss may be slower than you hope, your body is changing for the better.0 -
I have a condition that makes me feel thirsty all the time. My options to deal with it are take medication or drink more water. I chose drink more water. It isn't bad for you... unless you try to drink a gallon in 5 minutes or something. Also the fitter you get, the more you sweat, and the more water you need to replace.0
