I have leftover salmon which was fresh, pan fried filet, yesterday's dinner.

I'd love a recipe using whole wheat pasta, that was all creamy cheesy but not bad for me...

maybe something with greek yogurt?

Any ideas?

Actually, I use the Philadelphia Cooking Cremes - check the calories counts on MFP for a 1/4 cup serving. Reasonable.
I'm going to make a salmon pasta dish tonight with high-fiber barilla plus angel hair, fresh garden cherry tomatoes, baby spinach, lotsa garlic, and some of the cooking creme. I'll add in some leftover grilled salmon at the very end. Yum.

Add some broccoli in there and I would LOVE that. If I add canned tomatoes I hardly ever add sauce, but when I do I use a light alfredo sauce and just skimp on it

Which one do you like with salmon pasta?

I can easily do the cherry tomatoes, maybe a little red onion and broccoli. Or maybe I'll pick up spinach with the creme in the store, I used one once, in something I did in the slow cooker, wasn't trying to diet then though.

Do you use the whole creme container for enough with a box of pasta, say? Do you add other liquid? water? chk broth?

    Thanks for answering!

    Bump....

do you think it'll need extra liquid with the cooking creme?

use whole container for a box of pasta?

    What flavor do you think?

Try these but swap the shrimp for salmon. Very good.

How about a spoon of pesto with it? Throw in some veggies too

whole wheat pasta with salmon, just maybe use olive oil instead of a creamy sauce? add some spices and veggies like tomatoes, zuchinni, onions, spinach and ta-da!

Have a look at the ingredients list before you buy that cooking cream - didn't look good to me at all. You don't need a lot of cream for texture and flovour - I buy one with ingredients: cream ( though you have to hunt for it).

I'd suggest that you slice some zucchini into ribbons, toss the zucchini, some cherry tomatoes, salmon, fresh herbs (dill if you like it, I don't so I'd use basil) with the pasta. Add a spoonful of real cream and a splash of the pasta cooking water and lots of black pepper ... Yum!
