I buy this Slim Fast imitation shake at Target (It's called Market Place Weight Loss Nutritional Drink) and they only have one flavor, chocolate, but it's pretty great. I have that with whole grain toast as a late night mini snack/meal.
I mean, it's nothing special, Slim Fast is basically low calorie baby formula, and the main reason it works is because it's full of vitamins and is high in protein. You can make your own shakes and save moolah which is what I plan to do eventually.0 -
I always have Slim Fast shakes on hand. With 10g of protein and 5g of fiber I find it the quickest way to get a meal when I'm super busy or just don't feel like eating. I have not tried the bars as I can plan my own snacks and stay within my calorie range...most of the time!
I figure if I count the calories in whatever I eat, stay at or below the allotted calories and exercise when I can, the weight will come off. As far as following the 'special' diet....that's the nice thing about MFP. I log all food I eat and when I run out of calories I stop eating!0 -
SLIM SLOW diet works way better. You get to eat whatever you want.

if you don't require the slimfast ready to drink shakes (which i think taste pretty amazing) and can deal with a powder, you should check out walker diet. all of the numbers are better than slimfast with much higher protein, lower sugar, low carb and much higher percentages of vitamins. it's also a little less than $1 a serving if you buy from the right place.
it doesn't taste quite as good as the slimfast RTD shakes but it doesn't taste bad at all. you should check it out if you mix it at home.0 -
Hadn't had this stuff since high school (LONG AGO...)
Starting it today; shake mix, skim milk, snack bars and fresh fruit: CHECK!
Slim fast is still 1-2 lbs a week, a healthy rate.
Combining with MFP is rough as my calorie goal seems a little higher here than SF has planned for me. I will end up somewhere in the middle, since i MUST have one glass of wine in the evening for my 3rd snack, and that exceeds the 100 cal suggestion. still a bit under my goal, but gee that's gratifying!
good luck to all0
