A little insight for ladies on TOM and weight loss

So I had read an article and then let it slip my mind. Today as I was growling and snarling about my low number on weight loss this week and not finding where I had derailed any anyway, I started to see a trend and the article came back to mind. For women losing weight is tougher than for men. Simply fact. Our bodies believe that they need the extra to support any babinos we decide to have. Great, I love my kids but I'm through having them, can we dispense with this please? LOL To get back on topic, here is what I noticed. Each month about two weeks after TOM I see my lowest weight loss number for the month. As I looked at this I recalled what I had read. A woman's metabolism fluctuates with her cycle. During TOM when you feel like doing nothing? Your body is a calorie burning machine. That SUCKS  About two weeks later when you ovulate- it slows waaaayyyyy down  Yes, I am sure you can combat this, believe I will try doing so now that I've made the connection but you have to be aware to do so. So, ladies, if you find yourself frustrated and puzzled about the same time every month, this may well be why. Anyway, I just wanted to offer insight and encouragement for anyone else in the same boat. We CAN lose it, I'm doing so and a great many of you are as well, we just have to know our own bodies. I'm slowly learning mine.

Great reminder :-). I hate that TOM since my cravings increase and my motivation decreases. I'm learning to power through it and not stress about it.

Oh yes that's exactly it! During tom I am literally starving all the time and could eat non stop and apart from some water weight that goes a day or two later I don't put any real weight on. But in the middle of the month I swear I only need to smell food and the weight piles on! Thankyou for sharing this connection.
