Can someone please explain this to me!?!?!? I have been exercising for over a year and my blood pressure is still going up and not coming down. Food wise I eat lean and try to watch my salt intake and drink alot of water. I do Zumba, incline walking, and strength training, BUT my blood pressure does not want to come down. What I'm I doing wrong??? I do have a heart rate monitor and VERY faithful about wearing it to see what my heart rate is getting up too (average during Zumba is in the 160-166). I'm 5'4" and 33 years old. I tend to work out for at least 30 minutes, but try to do no more than an hour.
Does anyone have any suggestion, please!?

Your diet may not be as good as you think. Consider the DASH diet and talk to your doctor. There may be another cause for your high blood pressure. I was running and doing good cardio and weights 4-5x a week and my bp wouldn't drop. I am on medication now. Sometimes people just have it for no reason or it's hereditary. Also you might want to get your cholesterol checked. Sometimes high cholesterol can lead to high bp.0
