I've read tons of material about Creatine and know what it does and all it's benefits and everything. My question is this, since it basically saturates your muscles with water, would that keep on a lot of unnecessary (that's a tricky word lol) water weight while you are trying to Lose wight and worry about adding lean muscle mass later?

I want to drop the extra weight first and then fill out with a lot of lean muscle but I've been taking Creatine because of all it's other benefits too.

Any suggestions?

Cheers

The slight increase in water weight you may experience intramuscularly from using creatine mono will not affect your goals of getting plenty lean. In fact if the creatine helps improve your performence/training then it will serve as a positive benefit to your goal of leaning out. I have been at single digit bf% while supplementing creatine. All it did was help my performence and keep my muscles full on a very low calorie diet..

You should still lose weight taking Creatine. I did.

Did you know that some people's bodies cannot process Creatine.
    Read in Men's fitness mag.

If your body reacts to creatine, you will gain 3-4 lbs when you start taking it.
When you stop taking it, you should lose 3-4 lbs.
If this doesn't happen, your body doesn't process the creatine (according to that article)

Also I was taking 5gms/day. I never did the "loading". My friend went to purchase creatine and was told by the guy selling it, that others have come in to purchase and he told my friend that we only need about 1gm per day..

We get creatine from other sources (meat).

Awesome man, I greatly appreciate it. I weighed myself last wed and I weighed 220, I started that day and I weighed 224.5 on sat and today I weighed in at 221 so I was getting thrown for a loop.
    Thanks again
