How many calories/day?

OK, so I'm hearing you guys loud and clear...1,200 calories way too low for a 30 year old male. Oops. I weigh 170 and I'm 5' 8''. I'd like to lose 20 - 25 lbs. Any suggestions on a calorie allotment that is healthy but will still get me losing weight?

    plug your stuff into mfp it helps quite a bit mind i have problems getting over 800 somedays lol gonna grab a v8 at work tonight i think

    You can plug your stats into MFP and go by their recommendations - or if you're up to doing a little more math and want a different way to do it, read Helloitsdan's first post in this thread: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/654536-in-place-of-a-road-map-2-0-revised-7-2-12

    ...and yeah - either way, 1200 calories is *way* too low for you.
