NSV - attitude adjustment

In most areas of my life, I'm pretty confident in my abilities to do things - work, gardening, little home repairs, creating things, etc. If I don't know how to do it, I'll figure it out.

But when it comes to my body, I've been more of an "I don't think I can do that" or "maybe someday, but not yet" or "It would be nice, but I don't know if it will really happen" kind of person.

So, I kind of surprised myself early this morning on my walk when I looked at the 62 steps in front of me and decided to go UP instead of my usual turning the corner and taking the easy route because the steps would be too hard. It wasn't hard. In fact, once I got to the top, I came back down and went up them again. And then did that a third time. It felt great to feel like it wasn't a big deal - to feel the "of course I can do that" part of me when it came to something physical.

Hoping the "of course I can do that" attitude will stay as I continue on this weight loss journey.

It kind of sounds like you have low self-esteem but you are progressing :) Keep in mind why you are on this journey and you will get there!
