Help needed with my Diet-

I'm 49 and 5'7 and currently 160lb want to get to 140/145lb but really struggling and now getting a bit down about it.

I keep around my 1200 calories a day, swim 1hr/1mile 3/4 times a week. I have been a yo yo dieter all my life but started on MFP thinking i could go it alone but finding it harder than I thought. To be honest when I first started my journey I used to be good through the week and drink rather to much and eat a little to much weekends and after the inital 5lb came off maintained the same weight. I took stock and cut the drinking and over eating weekends out (3 weeks ago) and lost 2lb the first week - yeah new it would work, but then the next week stayed the same, though it was a temporary blip, but this week I have put on another 1lb. Need some friends and some help - What am I doing wrong need to lose at least 6lb before my holiday in 4 weeks time. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. THANKS

    Are you eating 80-100g of protein per day ?
