If you are struggling to keep your calorie intake below your suggested daily amount because you feel portion sizes are too small or the food doesn't taste good enough, I had the same problem. What I did was look to the Tesco Light Choices range (British grocery retailer). The ready-made meals are generally low in calories and very filling. The best part is that most of them are microwavable meals and take five minutes to prepare. I've been feeling really full and satisfied after meals and keeping under my 1500 daily limit, often going under it. They have a massive range of meals and are really low in calories, most being between 300-400 for a filling meal. The only down-side is that they are quite pricey, and for obvious reasons it's not a good idea to have them for every meal every day. So I stick to having one a day, sometimes for lunch and others for dinner.

And before I am bombarded with replies about nutrition and weight loss, I have read quite a lot on eating processed food and how they will hinder your diet, and how you should only eat non-processed food. But for me, I've been on my 'diet' for five weeks now and I am 15 lbs down. I just mix the meals with non-processed food such as fruit, veg, meat etc. so I am still meeting my other daily goals.

Just a tip, take it how you want.
