Finding your TDEE

So when you go to find your TDEE and figure out how many calories you are suppose to be eating, which activity level do you choose? For example, is little or no exercise referring to just what you do for every day living NOT including your workouts? Or say if you are in the gym 6 days a week should you pick heavily active? I am just wanting to get an accurate number.
