i saw something like this on pinterest. basically open can, dry, add seasoning, place in oven. however... the things popped and jumped in the oven. landing on the oven bottom and burnt. then the house filled with smoke and a just lovely odor. anyone who has actually done this, want to tell me what in the world i did wrong?0

Haha! Nope...maybe too hot of an oven, or kept them in too long? At least the house smelled nice afterwards! :-D0 -

Here's another chickpea variation:
Soak a cup of dry chickpeas overnight (or during the day while you're at work).
Boil for an hour, with a 2" piece of kombu seaweed.
Kombu takes away the gassiness and intensifies the sweetness
Add freshly ground pepper and a nice salt (ground sea salt is good).
This is a great hand-to-mouth snack that won't pile on the cals.0 -
