    1. Kindred by Octavia E. Butler

    2. The Red Tent by Anita Diamant

    3. The Moon Under Her Feet by Clysta Kinstler

I can't believe someone else has read The Red Tent!!! Loved that book too.
My re-reads are A Tale of Two Cities and the Harry Potter books. I did just finish the Hunger Games trilogy and liked that as well. And who can forget the Twilight series! I have to re-read them before I go see them in the theatre.

Mine would be authors because they all have a series of books and I enjoy all equally....

Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child: Special Agent Pendergast series

Dean Koontz : Odd Thomas series

Peter Brett : The Warded Man series (maybe also known as the demon cycle quintology )

Honorable mention : The Life of Pi ... Yann Martel

God Emperor of Dune by Frank Herbert
Queen of Angels by Greg Bear
    Destination Void by Frank Herbert

Looking at my list, it's interesting to note that they have certain themes in common.

    Huh.

I read as much as I can squeeze in...Have a kindle filled with mostly free books. I adored the Harry Potter books and felt like I'd lost a friend when I finished them. Love the Odd Thomas books by Dean Koontz and just finished Odd Apocalypse that just came out. Also adored the Hunger games...the movie, not so much. If you have a kindle, go to Kindle Nation daily on facebook. They always have free books and I have gotten many good books there.

I wish there was a virtual book club on MFP. It could be a blast.

You know, you could pretty easily make this happen. Start a book club group, invite some MFPeeps, start one thread where you discuss which book(s) to read (pin this to the top of the discussion area), and then post new weekly discussion topics for said book(s) (pin the current week's topic to the top of the boards). Viola - MFP book club!

    :flowerforyou: :drinker:

    Sign me up!

Sign me up for the book club, too! :D

To Kill a Mockingbird (Harper Lee)
Gone With the Wind (Margaret Mitchell)
All Creatures Great and Small (James Herriot)

Also loved the Harry Potter books and saw someone else loves Into Thin Air - great book!

So many good ones here. Off the top of my head, five all-time favorites are (sorry, couldn't narrow to 3):

    The Book Thief
    Pillars of the Earth
    The Hunger Games
    Game of Thrones
    Outlander
