For the past month or so I've been trying to make more meals at home to eat healthier, well rounded meals. So I cook for both me and my boyfriend and always give him a much bigger serving. He is 6'2 about 300lbs and works in construction - if I'm hitting on or around my 1200cal goal even if I'm giving him double what I eat is that enough? He just started to work out and has lost a few pounds which is great but I want it to be a healthy loss. Any suggestions?

The best suggestion I can give you is to let him manage his own weight loss journey. You're cooking for both of you. He's a grown man. He will tell you if he's still hungry or he'll do something about it. Trust me-no man is going to let you starve him. Relax and don't worry about it.

This, he'll sort himself out, don't worry

Get him on MFP and then he'll know whether or not he's eating enough for his health goals.

Lol! That sounds right - although he is the type of guy where if I don't pack him lunch he'll either go without eating or go to McDonald's for large triple quarter pounder combo.

I have to agree with this one. If he were still hungry he'd be letting you know, either by saying something or eating a lot between dinner and bedtime. I can't really imagine anyone starving on 2400 calories per day, no matter how big.
