MY NEW TOYS!

I decided to reward myself for going to the gym EVERY DAY this week for my first week of getting in shape. I splurged and bought a hand mixer to make protein shakes and smoothies and a fancy scale that actually tells you your weight AND how many calories you need to consume to maintain your weight (based on info you input about your age, gender & height)
FANCY!
What are your milestones?
What are some non-food items you have purchased to motivate yourself along the way?

Im just shy of 54 weeks in and tbh other then my HRM, nothing. My brain doesnt work that way I guess. In all reality, I shouldnt have let myself get that big. 6 months from now and its still off, then I might revisit this idea. lol

ohhhh i love your new toys. I was so excited when i got my food scale and use it religously and my measuring cups. I reward my efforts as often as i want to. First it was going to be at 10lb increments but hell, i work my butt off and i try to eat right and i deserve it whenever i want it....
I got a HRM monitor and its been a great investment
I got new workout clothes because they make me feel better and i can see how loose they are getting as i go
I got new crosstrainers and am looking into Zumba shoes now
I got some new handweights to use when i am at home.
All these things motivate me and help me on the way. Keeps me motivated to keep going when i keep seeing other things i want.
I think what i want the most is a really good eliptical or treadmill. That would be a huge splurge so it wont be any time soon but its on the list0 -
Well, I did get an electronic display scale and kitchen scale for better accuracy this week. The old ones were too unreliable. I also just got a pedometer so I can see how much I really walk at work. Gonna use it for the first time today!
But really, the best was getting rid of my too big clothes after a significant weight loss (not my goal though). Scary, but so motivating.0 -
I love to read....so I bought myself the "Hunger Games" trilogy! BUT I cannot open them and start them until I hit my 50 pound mark....which isn't too far off! Plus after I finish my 30 day shred I'm going to reward myself with "Ripped in 30"!0

I have been doing something that works for me. I put $1 in a jar every time I workout, and keep tally marks on the side of the jar. When I earn $100 I am going to go shopping for clothes that fit better. It is pretty motivating to watch the tallies add up.0
