I have the collarbone, my hipbones almost show...i may never have the thigh gap (thanks genetics) or the flat stomach (thank you oh dear daughter of mine)

but regardless of all that...i'd still rather work for them than have all that food (most of which I can't eat anyways)

    so the answer is simple.

    yes.....yes it is.

Junk food isn't worth it but I don't want to look like a skeleton...

What it SHOULD say: Do you want Taco Bell or diarrhea? Do you want fried food or to vomit from consuming too much grease?

I don't eat junk food because it makes me feel sick and unhealthy, not because I want to be able to count my ribs.

i don't know..when I lay down at an angle where my legs are raised higher than my torso, gravity makes my body do this and my hipbones jut out like that....and *I* still have 80 pounds to lose...

i think the hipbones are showing more because of the angle than the womans actual body...

i could be wrong...but it seems to match what happens to me...and like i said ..i still have 80 pounds to lose.

It IS worth it. This is great motivation and will keep me on my best behavior today. Thank you! Your point was not lost on me.

I hate posts like this...some people are skinny by nature just like some people are predisposed to be fat. You wouldn't want someone calling YOU disgusting, though you'd have oodles of people to defend you. No one body type is better than another, just different!

I can have it all. Moderation is what's helping me lose weight, not deprivation. I refuse to give up my from-scratch veggie pizza!

Exactly, I may not be skinny by nature but somehow my ribs allways stick out. Now and when I was 14 kg heavier. They just do. I went swimming with my friend the other day and she saw my ribs and started lecturing me that I am going anorectic. I have BMI 20.5 and am by no means anorectic thank you very much. Yet people feel happy to point stuff liek that out. I KNOW my ribs show, they always did and allways will no matter what I do. "Fat" seems to be almost a swear word and people get totally offended. Yet, the same people don't have a problem to call out others on stuff they have no impact on.

I'm not skinny and my hipbones show like that when I lay down or stand up. My collar bones are very defined as well they always have been though. I will never have a thigh gap though, because I am pear shaped. My stomach is rather flat now but no abs yet.Forgot to mention my rib cage sticks out naturally no matter what weight I'm at.

People have called me disgusting. I don't let it get to me. Many women strive to look like that picture, personally, I don't see what's attractive in being able to see ribs and hip bones popping out.

That's your choice... and congrats it doesn't bother you. You much be such a toughie. Unfortunately not everyone is and I'd like to respect that :). Just because you feel that way doesn't make these women disgusting. Some women would love to gain a few pounds and can't, others work their *kitten* off to get there and that isn't disgusting at all :)
