Help! Higher or lower...?

OK now I am really confused...

Looking through my men's fitness magazine it has a lot of meal plans and they all seem to suggest that 1700-1850 is about right to get a toned body, so which do I do?
2200- 2400 as per TDEE
Or 1850 which is below my BMR (1900) - but very achievable (check out my diary!)

I gues my concern is that my BMR/TDEE is as follows:
Base = 1930
Sedentary = 2241
Light = 2568
Moderate = 2895 - this is what I think I should be eating (-20%) as I now train 5-6 times a week and still need to lose 16lbs (18 lbs down!) - but couldn't imagine eat nearly 1000 more calories!!!

My BF is now 24.9 and I am trying to get to 15-17%
I eat well, never hungry and have what I consider a balanced diet.
My training is 3 x Spartacus workout a week and 3 x 30 mins HIIT cycling machine (30 secs normal - 30 secs fast). I will be going on to insanity in October and P90x after christmas.

If someone has tried either method of calorie counting (ie higher TDEE or lower calorie deficit) and it has worked please could you offer some guidance as I really am torn between lowering calories or upping them...?

    I would keep them lower and saw what happens. If it doesn't work I would up them. But that's just me.

    Well after 2 weeks of not loosing weight I have dropped my intake to 1850kcal, I checked on insanity and that says I should have 2400kcal.... Perhaps I'll try that in October when I start insanity, although I am hitting the 40:40:20 ratio :-)
